中文摘要 | 本論文研究提供緩衝器(Buffer)予語音用戶之無線網路(Wireless Network),其整合語音及數據之效能分析。由於語音用戶在接受服務前可容忍等待一段時間,稱之為棄絕時間(Reneging time)。於該期間內語音用戶被暫存於緩衝器內等待直到有一可用通道時便開始通話。提供緩衝器予語音用戶會影響數據用戶之效能,因此,本論文以保留通道(Guard channel)及動態多通道(Dynamic Multi-channel)兩種策略保障數據用戶之效能。同時,利用數值分析驗證本論文所提之策略確能得到效能上的改善。 |
英文摘要 | This paper proposes an analytical model to investigate the performance of an integrated voice/data wireless mobile network with finite buffer for voice calls since they can endure a tolerable time (reneging time) for service. We provide an analysis in terms of voice traffic blocking probability based on a humanistic reneging time. The probability distribution of receiving service within the reneging time of each buffered voice call is obtained and based on this system provides an appropriate amount of buffers. To reduce the impact on blocking probability of data traffic caused by furnishing buffers to voice and enhance the efficiency in data service, the dynamic channel allocation (multi-channel) scheme and guard channel for data traffic are used. Numerical results show the effects upon the system performance when the proposed strategy is employed. The blocking probability of voice calls is evaluated versus different buffer sizes and reneging time. The multi-channel scheme and guard channel are used for data traffic, to not improve the impact on data blocking probability and to enhance the throughput and mean service time. |
