英文摘要 | We propose a broadband fiber-wireless access network (BFWAN) based on a two-level bidirectional wavelength path protect ring (BWPPR) architecture. The BWPPR can perform a self-healing function under fiber links failure. Moreover, we employ Quadrature Phase-Shift Keying (QPSK) modulation, which exhibits better spectral efficiency, on up. Down-stream subcarrier channels. The maximum bidirectional data rate for each customer unit (CU) can be up to 10 Mbit/s at 1.9GHz. this architecture can provide an excellent reliability, flexibility, large bandwidth and cost-effective service for future broadband wireless networks. Finally, we practically set up an experimental fiber-wireless network to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed architecture. |
