英文摘要 | Radio coverage distributions of base station antennas are very important in cell plannings for mobile system designs. In this paper, signal strengths of radio coverage are calculated by using three-dimensional antenna radiation patterns and some commonly used propagation models. Both mechanical-and electrical-downtilt types of antennas are considered and coverage maps are presented for some antennas of typical gains. It is shown that coverage distributions differ much for these antennas with different downtilt mechanism, gains, and heights of base stations. In addition, three-dimensional radiation patterns of antennas for mobile communications are also shown in this investigation. |
