英文摘要 | This case study was to report the refractive outcome of cataract surgery after previous laser in situ keratomileusis for high myopia and evaluate the accuracy of different methods for IOL power calculation. Refractive outcomes in two cataract surgery and lensectomy eyes after previous LASIK were analyzed retrospectively. Differences between target refractions calculated using two IOL formulas and four post-LASIK corneal power evaluation were compared. The manifest refraction was +1.25-0.50 × 3 corrected to 6/7.5 in the right eye and +2.00-1.00 ×152 corrected to 6/6.7 in the left eye six months after the separate cataract surgery on each eye. Intraocular lens power calculation errors in post-LASIK eyes were reduced significantly when refraction-derived keratometric values were used. In conclusion, the reasons for IOL power underestimation may be due to the difficulties in measuring the corneal shape correctly after refractive surgery, and the inaccuracy of certain IOL power formulas. These problems may be resolved as new instruments are designed to accurately measure the different corneal shapes and as IOL power formulas and corneal power values are modified. |
