英文摘要 | While Hulanhe Zhuan is a composition of Xiao Hong’s childhood memory, its content also comprises the folk religions in northeast Asia and “Tao-Daishen” is the most important element among these beliefs. These religious practices do not establish a direct connection with the context of childhood memory, but some of them are related to female’s fate. The scene of “young child-bride” is a particular representation. From "madness" to "death" of “young child-bride,” her fate is conjoined decisively with the whole process of "Tao-Daishen." This paper emphasizes 'Tao-Daishen" to explore how Xiao Hong in Hulanhe Zhuam uses "female" to reveal "power" through the disclosure of folk religious elements in the northeast tribes. She uses female to symbolize people at the margin of the society and to show the consequences of people who oppose the center. "Death" seems to be an absolute fate. |
