中文摘要 | 光纖通訊分波多工系統(Wavelength Division Multiplexing;WDM)中,以陣列波導光柵(Arrayed Waveguide Gratings;AWG)型式的被動元件最具潛力與發展空間。本研究以AWG基本設計流程完成一個8頻道分波多工器,在AWG的自由耦合區域的輸出端波導上加上錐形口設計(Taper),使頻道訊號平坦化,並控制溫度與偏振態對於訊號波長的影響,有效地容許波長漂移的誤差。本模擬為8×8頻道架構,頻道間距是200GHz波長訊號,頻道串音平均值約在-30dB左右,錐形口的寬度越大時,頻道寬度亦成線性的加大,波導每增加1 μm寬度,頻道寬度可增加0.025nm。本文研究分析錐形口寬度大小與區域分配對系統的傳輸效率的評比,可以做為在製程上與成本上的參考依據。 |
英文摘要 | Arrayed waveguide gratings (AWG) are the most potential devices in wavelength division mulitiplexing (WDM) for optical fiber communication. In this paper, a high-performance 8×8 channels, 200GHz channel spacing, and -30dB crosstalk AWG is presented. Moreover, a tapered wave-guide between the output free coupler range and the output waveguide is also interposed to obtain a flattened spectral response and to control the effects of temperature and polarization. As the width of taper is increased by 1μm, the width of spectral response also is increased by 0.025nm linearly. This dissertation can be consultation of manufacture and cost. |
