英文摘要 | The workforce within the U.S. is increasingly culturally and linguistically diverse. The hospitality industry has encountered a critical issue: how organizations can improve their training in English as a second language to retain competitiveness. Coupled with the fact that technological application in training is occurring more rapidly. This paper attempts to explore the conditions of ESL in the hospitality industry, and to provide insight into a second language acquisition of adult learners using CALL (computer-assisted language learning) technology. In addition, this review of literature suggests that first, empirically examine how adults learning a second language for specific professional purposes, such as programs for line-level hospitality employees, and second, serious attention must be paid to research on the language training programs in the hospitality industry to determine the benefits and costs incurred by customized ESL (English as a second language) programs. |
