英文摘要 | Positive charged derivatives of polystyrene (PS) were prepared and they were reacted with tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) by sol-gel method to synthesize polymer/silica nano-composites. TEM photograph showed that the silica particles were in nano-meter scale and well-dispersed in the polymer matrix. The thermal properties of the composites were characterized with TG and DSC and compared with the original polymers. It was found that the incorporation of charges on the PS would increase the thermal stability of the polymer. The resultant composites also demonstrated higher Tg values and decomposition temperatures than those of pure PS/silica composites. |
