中文摘要 | 針對整合服架構於骨幹網路上使用的困難點,本研究在IETF提出之分類服務架構(Differentiated Service Architecture)下進行研究。分類服務架構是為了解決整合服務在大型的公眾網路上難以實現的問題而提出的,其主要的目的是在現今網際網路上提供一個具擴充性(Scalable)的架構,且不需像整合服務架構,對於每個訊流在每個網路節點上的狀態均需詳細記錄,造成節點的負荷過重,而難以在實際網路上實現的問題。 本研究在分類服務架構下提出一個可適性訊流控制模組,實驗結果驗證可有效降低訊流之競爭現象並提供較為穩定之TCP訊流。 |
英文摘要 | The congestion control mechanisms used in TCP have been proposed a number of enhancements. The competing of each TCP flow will cause the high loss rate and unfairness network resource utilization during times of congestion. Differentiated Services (DS) architecture permits the allocation of different level traffic resource requirement. There are several congestion control approaches proposed in DS Traffic Conditioner (TC) model. In this paper, we propose an Adaptive Traffic Conditioner Scheme (ATCS) in Differentiated Service architecture. The purpose of ATCS is to reduce the competing phenomenon of TCP flows, which belong to different PHB classes. ATCS enhance RED algorithm and separate the coming ingress node flows into over target rate flows and under target rate flows. Each flow will drop packets randomly according throughput and queue length parameters. Our results show that ATCS can efficiently reduce bandwidth resource unfairness while maintaining high link utilizations. |
