中文摘要 | 多年來,乳癌一直是婦女健康的一大威脅,因此追求其更好的治療成效是醫療界努力的目標。個案管理模式已被許多研究證實可以提升醫療照護的品質。1999年臺灣某癌症專科醫院應用個案管理模式於乳癌病人照護上,得到的成效有:(1)乳房照護内容的完整性提高二倍;(2)以五分法計分病人對醫療滿意度的各項得分均高於4.5分;(3)乳癌初診病人的未留院治療比率由實施前的28.1%降至8.9%;與(4)乳癌病人的治療完成率由實施前的86.7%提高至91.5%。由以上結果,可以得知個案管理模式廣泛應用於癌病照護是有其必要性和重要性。 |
英文摘要 | For many years breast cancer has been a major threat to women's health, and the medical community has set itself the task of improving breast cancer treatments. Recent researches have established a case management model to improve patient care. In 1999 a cancer hospital in Taiwan instituted case management for breast cancer patients and found (1) the thoroughness of care doubled; (2) on each of nine measures of patient satisfaction the average score was over 4.5 out of 5; (3) the percentage of breast cancer patients who did not receive treatment at this hospital declined from 28.1% to 8.9%; and (4) those who did start treatment at this hospital, 91.5% completed therapy, as compared to 86.7% before case management. From the above results we may conclude that case management for cancer care in general is both necessary and important. |
