中文摘要 | 本研究以半導體文獻為主題,進行期刊共被引分析,以了解期刊之主題導向與期刊間之叢集性。研究樣本來自三十種最多產之半導體期刊,產生435組共被引組隊。利用Dialog系統科學引用文獻索引資料庫(SciSearch)檢索期刑共被引次數。至於期刊叢集分析與期刊二維圖的繪製則利用SPSS統計軟體的CLUSTER與MDS程式完成。本研究結果顯示,半導體期刊共被引次數最高者均為物理學期刊,例如:Physical Review B-Condensed Matter, Physical Review Letters, Applied Physics Letters以及Journal of Applied Physics等。期刊同時被引用的次數普遍很高,甚至高達十萬次以上,顯示在半導體領域中,這三十種期刊主題之間有著一定的連結性。進一步檢驗共被引期刊之相關係數,結果顯示相關係數在0.7以上者共計296組,佔全部共被引組數之68%。由此可見,期刊之間的連結性有一定的強度。至於期刊二維圖則分成三組,A組17種為物理學領域,B組9種與材料科學有關,C組則以電子工程學為主要範疇。三組期刊收錄範圍皆有重複的主題。就期刊二維圖而言,無法判定核心主題或連結性強的期刊主題有那些,可能原因在於期刊之相關係數差異不大,以及半導體之跨學科導向所致。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of this study is to map semiconductor literature by journal cocitation analysis. Journal samples were gathered from the INSPEC database from 1978 to 1997. In cocitation analysis, the data compiled were counts of the number of times two journal titles were jointly cited in later publications. It is assumed that the more two journals are cited together, the closer the relationship between them. The journal set used was the 30 most productive journals. Counts of cocitations to the set of semiconductor journals were retrieved from SciSearch database, accessed by Dialog. Cluster analysis and multi-dimentional scaling were employed to create two-dimensional maps of journal relationships in the cross-citation networks. The following results were obtained through this cocitation study: The 30 journals fall fairly cleary into three clusters. The major cluster of journals, containing 17 journals, is all in the subject of physics. The second cluster, consisted of 9 journals, includes journals primarily on material science. The remaining cluster represents research areas to the discipline of electrical and electronic engineering. All cocited journals share similar cocitation profiles, reflected in high positive Pearson correlation. Two hundred and ninety-six pairs (68%) correlate at greater than 0.70. This shows that there is strong relationship between semiconductor journals. Five highly cocited journals are Physical Review B, Condensed Matter; Physical Review Letters; Applied Physics Letters; Journal of Applied Physics; and Solid State Communications. |
