英文摘要 | In this paper, we evaluate the performance of a direct-sequence code-division multiple-access (DS-CDMA) communication system with MRC reception over correlated Nakagami fading channel. The standard Gaussian approximations are employed to depict the multiple-access interference and self-interference of DS-CDMA system. The effect of two types of envelope correlation models: constant correlation and exponential correlation on performance is thoroughly investigated. We compute the variances of interferences as a function of the correlation coefficients and then derive the probability density functions of SNR at the output of MRC combiner. We also derive the system performance equations and express in terms of Appell's hypergeometric function and Gaussian hypergeometric function for two correlation models. The results indicate that the system performance is significantly influenced by the correlation between diversity branches. The result of constant correlation between branches is worse in performance deterioration than that of exponential correlation. These results also show that the effects of correlation must be seriously considered when designing a DS-CDMA system over correlated fading channel. |
