中文摘要 | 這一首獲得玄宗開元時期宰相張說推崇,並親手題寫於政事堂以供文士觀摩取法的名作,由於中間兩聯寫景雄渾闊大、絢麗瑰奇,所以更贏得歷代詩家的贊賞,或謂其妙絕千古,或許以不朽,或嘆曰奇絕;孫洙更在數以萬計的唐詩中經過披沙揀金的功夫之後,特別把〈次北固山下〉收錄進《唐詩三百首》中,以為蒙童朝習夕誦,白首不廢的典範之作。不過,儘管本詩享譽千古而膾炙人口,筆者卻發現到坊間常見的注譯與賞析之作中,不僅無法針對最生活傳神的寫景名聯,作出足以還原情境、喚起美感的串解與說明;即使對於敘述與抒情的首尾兩著的說解,也都有語意曖味、邏輯混亂、文法怪異、誤會詩義的現象,令人有不知所云之感;甚至連詩題「次」字所代表的歇宿之義,都還有被疏忽、漠視的情況,以至於作者所欲傳達的中原人士初見江南春早而風物清美的驚奇欣喜之情,竟遭扭曲為羈泊難歸的客愁鄉思! 因此,筆者嘗試結合王灣另一首有本詩中間兩聯〈江南意〉作為意逆志的解讀,期望能夠重現詩人匠心描摹的景致之奇、指出情意發展的脈絡,藉以確立本詩的主題與旨趣;同時採用逐聯對照的方式來評述各家賞析之作的語意邏輯,藉以考察出種種錯誤說解的根源所在,並提出筆者的省思與建言。 |
英文摘要 | Praised highly by Yueh Chang, Prime Minister at Kai Yuan period of Emperor Hsuan Tsung, “Resting Under Mt. Beigu,,” the masterpiece of Wan Wang, was inscribed by Chang at Cheng Shih Tang (the department dealt with the government affairs) to be emulated and followed by men of letters. In addition, the 2nd and 3rd lines depicting the scenery splendid and spectacular, gorgeous and rare had brought eulogies from the poets through the ages. Some praised it as all-time wonder; some, immortality; and some, unparalleled uniqueness. Chu Sun adopted and included “Resting Under Mt. Beigu” in 300 T’ang Poems with hand-picked efforts from thousands of T’ang poems for children to read and follow suit day and night and continuously even they grew old. However, in spite of the poem’s though-all-ages reputation and commanding popularity, the writer makes several discoveries from different annotation and analysis publications found on the market. Firstly, the famous lines describing scenery vivid couldn’t be explained and annotated to recapture the circumstances and evoke aesthetic sense. Secondly, the analysis and interpretation for the first and last lines of narrative and lyric is ambiguous in meaning, confused in logic, strange in grammar, and misunderstood in implication that what it is driving at is unintelligible. Thirdly, the word Tzu in the poem’s theme meaning rest is ignored and neglected, so joyful and surprising mood of the people from the Central Plains (the downstream regions of the Yellow River) at first sight of the early spring as well as pure and exquisite scenery in the southern area of the Yangtze River is , as a result, twisted into suffering homesickness arisen from wandering as a stranger with homeward bound impossibility. Consequently, the writer tries to speculate the mood and conception by combining “Image of the Southern Area of the Yangtze River,” another poem by Wan Wang including the 2nd and 3rd lines of “Resting Under Mt. Beigu.” Hoping that the unique scenery depicted by the poet with great originality will reappear and the clues on sentiment growth will be identified, the theme and purpose of the poem could thus be established. The cross reference of each line will also be employed to give commentaries on the semantic logic of every analysis article and find out the root of various incorrect notation. Finally, the writer’s reflection and suggestion will also be put forward. |
