英文摘要 | Extraordinarily large optical anisotropy and nonlinearity have made doped liquid crystals a very attractive material for a wide spectrum of photonic applications. The enhanced photoconductivity changes observed in photorefractive nematics doped with a photocharge-generating dopant have been attributed to the formation of the third matter-charge-transfer complexesin the solutions. This paper deals with the absorption spectra of C6o-doped nematics in the visible, presents evidence of the existence of the third matter, and discusses the composition of the charge-transfer complexes. |
