中文摘要 | 近年來許多研究證實整體語言教學法比傳統教學法更能有效提昇學生的語文能力,在美國整體語言教學法已蔚為一種潮流,它顛覆過去傳統的教學法。不少支持整體語言教學法的教育學者認為語言的發展是整體的,強調學生須積極與有意義的學習活動,並得以涉及各種資料,拓展學習範疇,將所學與實際生活相結合。學校圖書館媒體中心的功能即在提供各種教學資源以轉助教學。整體語言教學法實施,僅賴教師本身是不足的,仍需學校圖書館媒體專家的在旁協助。所以學校圖書納媒體專家在實施整體語言教學的學校所扮演的角色實不容忽視。 本文之主要目的即在探討學校圖書納媒體專家在此波學校重整的潮流下,如何調整既有的服務,營造良好的學習環境以滿足師生的需求,使圖書館媒體中心運作更有效率,以協助整體語言教學法實施。在本文中,作者首先釐清整體語言教學法的涵義,並針對因學校重整,即由整體語言教學法取代過去傳統教學法所可能產生的問題加以討論並提出因應之道。此外,作者建議學校圖書館媒體專家須與校長、教師、家長、學生維持良好的公共關係及溝通管道並充分合作以確保整體語言教學法之實施得以成功。 |
英文摘要 | The whole language approach has been examined and proved to successfully promote students' literacy in many academic journals, professional workshops and conferences in recent years. It becomes a movement which reverses the traditional way of teaching and learning. Many educators believe that language development occurs holistically when learners are exposed to meaningful language in which they are highly involved in the kind of learning that is interesting, purposeful and related to their real life. A successful implementation of the whole language approach depends on not only the teachers but the support of school library media specialists. Students should be given the opportunity to access a variety of materials to enhance their learning. The school library media specialist plays a more important role in the whole language school than the traditional school. In order to make the school library media center function effectively and efficiently in the context of education, the school library media specialists have to understand this educational revolution and the growing needs of teachers and students. In this paper, the author would explore the definition of the whole language approach and examine the problems of the school reconstruction because of the shift from the traditional approach to the whole language approach. Furthermore, the author would discuss how the school library media specialists establish a supportive communication network and cooperate with their partners in the educational environment in order to carry out the whole language approach successfully. |
