中文摘要 | 基於全語言教學之精神,本研究以可預期之故事架構做為兩組國小學生之英語閱讀教材。本文首先討論建構全語言幼教課程所需之六大要素,且詳細敘述在課堂中如何融入以上要素於兒童文學故事:以此為英語閱讀教材之範例,並更進一步的討論此一方針對於提昇學生語言能力之效能。本研究共有六十七個八至九歲國小學童分別為實驗及對照組,實驗對象必須參與十八週的故事教學;並透過十三個口語問題測驗學生的語言能力及對故事的了解,研究結果顯示,將參與者之構思融入故事的架構能有效的提高學生參與課堂活動之興趣。文後更提供未來更完善的全語言幼教課程可行之改革方案。 |
英文摘要 | A whole language foreign language elementary class (WLFLEC) using predicable stories as reading materials in a storytelling section was developed for two groups of elementary students. The study first presented six working hypotheses needed for implementing a WLFLEC. A description of how to use predicable stories as teaching materials and how to compose a literature-based story in such a classroom setting is provided. The study further established how the implementation of involving elementary ELF learners in composing stories promoted their performance was assessed by oral tests of 30 questions. Results showed that by applying whole language ides of “involving participants into the construction of the story”, students demonstrated great improvement in participating class-related activities. Further modification of WLFLEC programme, such as providing a more vigorous way of assessment, involving children in publishing their stories would be appropriate. |
