中文摘要 | 真空微三極體可應用在場發射顯示器作為電子束源,為提高解析度,必須加入電子束聚焦設計,對Spindt型場發射微三極體而言,電子束聚焦設計可包括共軸式、共平面式、脊式與網狀電極式等方式。本論文針對這些具有聚焦電極結構之Spindt型微三極體進行電腦模擬分析研究,以比較它們的電荷密度分佈、到陽極時電子束大小與抵達陽極電流隨閘極電壓的變化特性,探討各種結構電子聚焦的效果,評估何者較適合於顯示器使用。本研究結果顯示,共平面式聚焦電極結構對電子束有良好的聚焦效果,對抵達陽極電流的抑制也較不明顯,因此最適合於場發射顯示器使用以提昇顯示器的解析度。 |
英文摘要 | Beam focusing is a crucial technique for promoting the resolution of the field-emission displays. Several focusing structures were proposed for the Spindt-type field emission microtriodes, such as the coaxial-type focusing, the coplanar-type focusing, the ridge-type focusing, and the mesh-electrode focusing. In this paper, spindt-type microtriodes with various focusing structures are studied systematically via computer simulation. The charge density distributions, the current distributions at the anode plate, and the anode-current vs. gate-voltage curves are investigated for each device. Our studies exhibit that the coplanar-type focusing structure has a good focusing effect and weaker anode current suppression. Therefore it is more suitable for the application of the Spindt-type microtriodes to improve the resolution of the displays. |
