中文摘要 | 地下水是一具有多種來源碳的混合體,因此地下水之碳十四年代測定要比一般含碳物質之定年困難得多。因為水體中碳酸鹽不同程度的混合以及其中所牽涉的化學及同位素作用,因此在大部分地下水碳十四年代的校正模式中,都以碳酸鹽的含量或其穩定碳同位素組成做為校正基礎。 本研究以宜蘭地區為研究區域,分別利用 Vogel、Tamers、Pearson、Mook、 Fontes 等五種校正模式,配合氚同位素之測定以校正地下水之碳十四年代。結果顯示,原有水體中放射性碳的濃度受死碳之稀釋作用的影響很大,造成現代水會有不同的放射性碳濃度。整體而言,Tamers 校正法所校正出的年代有較合理之結果:Vogel 法出的地下水碳十四年代一般均較其它校正法所求得的年代要老;Pearson 法對於穩定碳同位素值較重的標本似有過度校正的現象; Fontes 法對於年代較老的深層受壓地下水會有較合理的校正結果;Mook 校正法所得之結果出現現代初始值 (Ao) 為負的情形。 配合各採樣井之地理位置及放射性同位素分析結果,可了解宜蘭平原位在最上部的自由含水層的入滲補注區的分布範圍大致是分布在鐵路交通線以西之地區。對於入滲補注地區,應審慎規劃其土地利用型態,以保護宜蘭平原之地表及地下水源。 |
英文摘要 | Groundwater contains carbon varieties that come from various sources; hence, detecting the C age on the groundwater is more difficult than that of other carbonaceous materials. This is because the carbonate contents of groundwater have different combination ratios as well as varying levels of chemical and isotope reactions. Hence the C age correction models for most groundwaters are based on their carbonate content and stable carbon isotopic composition. This study applies the Vogel, Tamers, Pearson, Mook and Fontes models to correct the C age of groundwater in the I-Lan plain, together with tritium isotope values. The results show that the original concentration of the C contained in the groundwater were diluted by the dead carbon in vast proportions, resulting to the presence of varying concentrations of C in meteoric water. The C age corrected by the Tamers model showed more reasonable results; the age corrected by the Vogel model was older than that determined by other models; the Pearson model tended to over correct the age of the samples that contained heavier stable carbon isotope; the Fontes model had more reasonable results on the older confining groundwater; some results of the Mook model revealed modern initial values (Ao) in negative conditions. Combining the radioactive isotope results of the groundwaters and the geographical unconfining aquifer of I-Lan plain are distributed at the western region of the railroad intersection. Therefore, there is a need to execute a plan for the proper utilization of these water infiltration areas in order to conserve the quality of surface water and groundwater of the I-Lan plain. |
