中文摘要 | 耳石籍魚類游動時產生的運動刺激感覺細胞、是魚類感覺方向與平行的器官的重要組成部分。我們注意到游泳速度愈快的魚類其耳石重量愈輕。為此我們建立了一個演繹型來說明耳石加於每根纖毛的重力大小與魚類的游泳速度之間的關係。關於魚類的游泳速度的推定、我們使用了aspect ratio作為推定的指標。我們實際從17種的魚類中取得耳石、及測定了耳石重量/魚的體重和aspect ratio。然後利用回歸分析法檢定了演繹模型的方程式和實測值的相關程度。結果顯示了兩者有相當高的關係程度(R2=0.735)。據此我們推測各種魚類為適應不同的游泳方式選擇了改變耳石的重量而不是選擇改變纖毛的敏感程度。 |
英文摘要 | The otolith is an important part of the sensory organ of fish in detecting their direction and keeping balance through the movement of the otolith when swimming. The size of the otolith tends to vary according to the swimming speed of different fishes as the higher the speed, the smaller the otolith. Therefore, the deduction model was made to show the relationships between gravitational force being received by one cilium according to the otolith and fish swimming speed, and the aspect ratio was used as index to estimate fish swimming speed. Various otoliths were obtained from seventeen species of fish and otolith weight/body weight and aspect ratio were measured and regression analysis was performed to check whether or not the formula fit these data of otoliths and aspect ratio. The formula fitted the actual data well (R2=0.735), and suggesting that fish have taken a strategy of adapting to their different swimming styles by changing the otolith size more than by changing the cilium sensitivity. |
