The medical care and public health policies focused on the establishment of health care agencies and medical systems, the development of public health practices, as well as the management of health industry practitioners. The health agencies of the Japanese Colonial Times were affiliated with the Taiwanese Governor’s Office, Police Enforcement Department and Taipei Health Nursing Association. Health industry practitioners referred to police doctors, public doctors, medical doctors (including the designated doctors), dentists, hosptial nurses, midwives and pharmacists. Practitioners of Massage, Abdomen Judo, Bone Uniting, Moxa Cautery, and Accupunture were also supervised but not qualified as health industry practitioners. |
