中文摘要 | 地圖上,眾多的地理資訊中,地名是重要的地圖內容之一。因它其有空間實體的概念,有助於用圖者對空間環境的認知。編製地圖時,考量地圖的清晰易讀性及負載量之因素,地名與地圖上其他特徵物一樣,會受比例尺變化的影響。本研究擬以桃園縣及宜蘭縣為例,利用尺度相關分析,探討不同尺度地圖,對地名數量、等級及密度產生的變化,並以空間差異分析,進一步探討不同地形區對各鄉鎮地名簡化影響。經由上述歸納分析,祈能綜整地名簡化之規律,以提供自動化簡化作業之應用參考。 |
英文摘要 | Among all of information on a map geographical names are considerable elements because they contain spatially solid concepts to help map users to identify a wide range of environmental features. like other elements, their presence must depend on the controls of cartographic generalisation, which are objective, scale, graphic limits, and quality of data in order to simplify the information to manageable proportions. The scale of the finished map-to-be is a fundamental factor in the kind and degree of geographical- name generalisation that will be employed. When the cartographer has complete freedom to select the scale of a map, that decision may be greatly influence by the generalisation needed to fit the objective. This study aims to investigate the variations of the generalisation effects in various areas (i. e. Tao-yuang and Yi-Lan counties) using spatial data analysis. It is hoped that the results of this study could he used to uncover the rules of the geographical-name generalisation and set an example to any further research regarding automatic map production. |
