英文摘要 | During the past decades, the issue of essential-qualities-oriented education (EQOE) is a hot topic in the educational reform in China. It reflects not only the basic trend of the modern educational value, but also the multiple operational forms of the educational experiments. This paper is intended to focus on the developmental trend and evaluation of EQOE during the recent ten-years and its evaluation. 1. For the administrative operations of EQOE, the following steps are taken: (1.) Organizing leaders group to carry out the reform work, (2.) Setting up the routine meeting to facilitate the efficiency, (3.) Forming the related rules for schools to follow up, (4.) Designating the experimental areas to gather experiences, (5.) Doing the scientific research to find the useful strategies, (6.) Initiating a visiting system to share experience with each other, (7.) Establishing the reward system to inspire good product, 2. For the substance of implementation of EQOE, the following procedures are taken: (l .) Seeking good quality thought in education to promote the educational quality, (2.) Strengthening the weak area to balance the quality in each area, (3.) Conducting the curriculum reform to adapt to children's mental and physical development, (4.) Engaging the instructive reform to develop students~ independent thinking, (5.) Changing the evaluation system to get positive orientation of EQOE, (6.) Improving the entrance examination of universities or colleges to reduce the malady of examination, (7.) Accelerating teacher education to promote the professional efficiency, (8.) Forming a machinism of evaluation to carry out educational missions, 3. For the evaluation of EQOE, several advantages and issues are listed below: (1.) Advantages: a. Comprehensive reform' in education, b. Focused on important problems in EQOE, c. Emphasis on whole-person education, d. Democratic policy of EQOE, (2.) Unsolved issues: a. Over-estimated effects of EQOE, b. No cure-all drug for educational reform, no general agreement of EQOE reform, c. Causing possible formality in education, |
