英文摘要 | This study examined the amorphization behavior of Zr70-x-y Tix Aly Ni10 Cu20 alloy powders synthesized by mechanical alloying technique. According to the results, after 5~7 hours of milling, the mechanically alloyed powders were amporhous in the range of 0 to 12.5 at % Ti and 2.5 to 17.5 at %Al. These ranges are larger than that for bulk amorphous alloys produced by squeeze mold casting technique. The new amorphous alloys were observed at the compositions of Zr67.5-x Tix Aly Ni10 Cu20 (x=7.5, 10), Zr67.5-x Tix Aly Ni10 Cu20 (x=0, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5), Zr67.5-x Tix Aly Ni10 Cu20 (x=7.5, 10), and Zr67.5-x Tix Aly Ni10 Cu20 (x=7.5, 10). The thermal stability of the amorphous powders was also investigated by differential thermal analysis. As the results demonstrated, most of amorphous powders were found to exhibit a wide supercooled liquid region of more than 60 K before crystallization. The glass transition temperature Tg and crystallization temperature Tx of mechanically alloyed samples were different from those of specimens as prepared by squeeze mold casting technique. The different thermal stability is believed to be due to the introduction of impurities into the ball-milled samples during mechanical alloying process. |
