中文摘要 | 佛教的倫理學及其以智慧為核心的人觀,實為佛教所以為一強調生命 解脫、生活實踐與人文關懷的特殊宗教的根本理據,而佛教對兩性情慾和家庭建 制的觀點,更值得吾人從現代的人觀作具哲學意含的對比,從而突顯佛教重建人 倫以開啟佛性奧義的玄妙智慧。因此,由出家而獨身,由獨身而守貞,終於堅持 戒除淫欲、消解煩惱、襌修梵行及忘己捨身為法的方便法門,正是佛教深入真實 之生命與世界,而後出入自在,上下迴向,以迄空有無礙,不落兩邊的中道精神。 其間,佛教之看待婚姻與家庭,自不外於文化漸進論與人性中道觀,而人道與佛 道一體成全,世間正義與萻提覺性共存共榮,也都理應是「獨身不妨兩性相互之 尊重,婚姻亦不壞人佛一身的真實義諦」所服膺的終極之目的。 |
英文摘要 | The reason why Buddhism shows a special concern for human culture is based on its ethics and its view on human beings. The investigation of the Buddhist view on sexual desires and family institution reveals how Buddhist principles can be integrated into practical living by means of a liberated life. This profound meanings of the mysterious wisdom is revealed in the Buddhist effort to renew human relationship. From leaving the world to celibacy, from celibacy to chastity, from chastity to abstinence from sexual desires; the relief from worries, the ascetic life and a life of detachment, all are ascending or descending ways that helps to free the spirit and to keep the golden mean. In fact, Buddhism does not approach marriage and family from the culture point of view, or from the theory of human nature. Human nature and Buddhist nature are one. Buddhist enlightenment is embodied in worldly justice. Its final goal is a way of life in which celibacy does not prevent mutual respect of both sexes, and marriage does not prevert union with Buddha. |
