英文摘要 | In recent years gabled frames have been widely used in industrial buildings and the stability analysis of these types of structures is very important. Although the two-dimensional buckling analysis of elastic frames has been widely studied in the last decades, the flexural behaviours of three dimensional structures have only been investigated. By studying tree-dimensional gabled frames, the importance of the structural behaviours other than flexural mode in stability analysis has been noted. In this paper, the structural discretization and computer implementation for the stability analysis of the symmetric gabled frames are obtained. Solutions have been non-dimensionalized and presented in graphical forms to make the buckling loads useful. The structure consists of beam and column members. The structural members have different geometric parameters, end restraints, and loading conditions. The critical loads corresponding to the buckling mode shapes are plotted versus non-dimensional parameters in an effort to establish the parameter range in which out-of-plane, flexural or torsional buckling control. Since it is practically impossible to non-dimensionalize many parameters in the structural members of the gabled frames considered, solutions are obtained for a range of beam and column members used in present-day practice. The loading consists of concentrated and uniform loads. The end restraints are fixed, pinned, roller and pinned connection with a rotational spring at the right support of the columns. |
