中文摘要 | 本文主要探討權力與知識在學科與學術機構中的運作機制,文中以美國英文系的例子說明權力、權威與知識如何相互結合,進而探究在國內大學的各個學科中,國科會如何扮演詮釋群的角色,對師資、學科、乃至學生的陶成都有實質的影響。學術的自主與多元,在單一的機制運作下,趨於單一價值、偏向思考、單一管道的創造模式。當各大學自栩擁有相當數目的國科會計畫與獎勵時,所有從事人文教育的工作者,實不應忽略教育的多重目的與任務,以及人的多元價值和他無法被量化、條列化的智慧。 |
英文摘要 | The primary goal of this study is to reveal the interlocking relationship between power and knowledge in a discipline and its institution. In the last decade or so our scholars here, particularly those in the humanities, have been quite conscientious in keeping the integrity of the discipline of which they claim their expertise, but on close examination they still consciously or unconsciously keep reinforcing the state apparatus with power and authority. To demonstrate the interrelationship between power and knowledge in discipline and institution, the essay will take as an example the disputes occurring in the department of English in the States. It will also investigate the make-up of an individual in the domain of a discipline, which is the most relevant and indispensable machinery for producing the knowing subject. Finally, it will also detect the way National Science Council functions as an interpretive community and exerts its influence on the academia in Taiwan. |
