中文摘要 | 九二一大地震的世紀性災難,暴露出台灣社會數十年來在永續經營理念與實踐上的嚴重缺失,但也因此意外發現台灣社會的爆發力;在民間社會的表現及休戚與共的國民情感上,都有令人激賞的感受。「台灣社會的未來,畢竟是可以被期待的。 學校社區化素為教育改革之理想。社區蘊藏豐沛資源,以往卻鮮為學校所用。如今遭逢震災,由於經驗缺乏,使得既有的教育行政體系難以對此巨變做出彈性有效之回應。《孟子.公孫丑上》曰:「雖有智慧,不如乘勢;雖有鎡基,不如待時。」震災後,趁民氣可用之時,因勢利導,使教育發展與社區關懷結合。本篇以「春秋責賢」之態度,參考美國教育與社區關懷之文本,論:美國學校社區化源流、社區學校與學習服務〈service-learning〉、積極活化的教育發展與社區關懷、廿一世紀的學校管理與組織——全服學校〈the full service school〉。並以台灣震災後校園重建之實例,藉「他山之石,可以攻錯。」與本土實際需要相會通,使台灣歷經九二一災變後,得以似浴火鳳凰,有積極創造性的教育與社區互動。 |
英文摘要 | After the strongest earthquakes of this century in Taiwan on September 21, 1999, it exposed the idea and practice of sustainable development, which up until this time had serious weaknesses and shortcomings. We were surprised to find an explosive force in the Taiwanese society after the earthquakes. This incident brought people together, with excitement and expressions of working together through thick and thin! The Taiwanese society still has a vision for the future. The community is a place for educational reform. It is rich in resources, but has seldom been used by the school. The community now suffers from the earthquakes. With the lack of experience, the educational system's administration finds it difficult to face the tremendous changes that are occurring when having to work together effectively. We find ourselves in the best opportunity to connect our educational development with the community's care and concern. This article analyzes and probes into history of school community in America, the community schools' involvement with service learning across the US, the development of education and concern of community and the full service school: a management and organizational structure for 21st century schools. "Stones from other hills may serve to polish the jade of this one-experiences from others may help us overcome our shortcomings." This article hopes to combine the American experiences and our practical circumstance in order to develop a positive and creative interaction between school and community after the earthquakes in Taiwan. |
