中文摘要 | 本研究係調查溪頭地區臺灣青莢葉(Helwingia japonica (Thunb.) Dietr. Subsp. Formosana (Kanehira & Sasaki) Hara & Kurosawa)族群結構、物候學資料、性別比、結實率、更新與生育地植群狀態,並進行臺灣青莢葉野外發芽試驗。調查地區海拔約1,200-1,360m,土壤酸性、含石率高、坡度5-45%、坡面北向。總共設立32個樣區:1.樹高超過1.3m以上者,採穿越線法,總共記錄21種木本植物的胸高直徑,換算成相對密度及相對優勢度用以求得重要值指數(importance value index,IVI)值;2.低於1.3m者、採穿越線法,總共有75種地被植物計算覆蓋度,利用雙向列表比較法(TWINSPAN)分析,將32個樣區分為兩大類型,以柳杉(Cryptomeris japonica (L. f.) D. Don)為冠層,其下層地被植物以山月桃仔(Alpinia intermedia Gagn)、觀音座蓮(Angiopteris lygodiifolia Roenst.)及姑婆芋(Alocasia macrorrhiza(L.)Schott & Endl.)為主,及以紅檜(Chamaecyparis formosensis Matsum.)為冠層,其下層地被植物以臺灣青芋(Colocasia formosana Hayata)、黑果馬駮兒(Zehneria mucronata(Blume)Miq.)、火炭母草(Polygonum chinense L.)、方桿蕨(Glaphyropteridopsis erubescens (Hook.)Ching)及巒大秋海棠(Begonia laciniata Roxb.)為主。CCA(Canonical correspondence analysis)分析結果顯示林型、濕度指數和較低冠層鬱蔽度與臺灣青莢葉植社會的組成有顯著相關。 經野外發芽試驗得知臺灣青莢具有休眠特性,發芽率高,更新以萌蘗為主,撤野外以有性及無性繁殖,同時為陽性樹種,臺灣青莢葉的族群結構呈反J型。 |
英文摘要 | The population structure, phenology, sex ratio and fruiting ratio of Helwingia japonica subsp. Formosana were studied in the forests of Chitou area. Other studies such as seed germination, reproduction and habitat conditions were also included. The study area is located on a north-facing slope (5-45%), and ranges in elevation from 1,200-1,360m. The soils are acid with a relatively high stone content. A total of 32 sample plots were examined. Within each plot, four line transects were set up. Along the transects, all individuals which reached a height of 1.3m were measured and their importance value index (IVI) were calculated. For other individuals (<1.3m height), covers were measured as the intercepted length on line transects. TWINSPAN classification of the 32 plots, based on cover data, revealed two community types. The first type occurred in the stand of Cryptomeria japonica (L. f.) D. Don. The major herbaceous species were Alpinia intermedia Gagn., Alocasia macroorhiza (L.) Schoott & Endl. And Angiopteris lygodiifolia Ronenst. The second type was found in the plantation of Chamaecyparis formosensis Mastsum., and mainly dominated by Colocasia formsana Hayata, Zehneria mucronata (Blume) Miq., Polygonum chinense L., Glaphyropteridopsis erubescens (Hook.) Ching and Begonia laciniata Roxb. The results of CCA (canonical correspondence analysis) indicated that the strongest community-environment correlations involved canopy dominant type, moisture index and lower canopy closing. Field examination and germination study showed that Helwingia japonica appeared to be a shade-intolerant species with an inverse J-shaped population structure. The seeds showed a capacity for dormancy and had a high germination rate. Both sexual and asexual reproduction by sprouting seedlings seemed to be important means to maintain the populations in the fields. |
