中文摘要 | 台灣高科技產業因為技術層次高、產品生命週期短、產業競爭強等特性,使得各廠商莫不大幅度地增加新產品研究發展相關資源的投入。 綜觀新產品發展績效的相關研究文獻,可以察覺有許多的研究乃是建立在技術由、組織面、人力資源面、策略面,或者是功能互動介面上的探討。其中針對影響研發團隊成敗的「專案主導者」部分,則多偏重於領導風格或人格特質的研究,而少有以公司新產品開發策略如何考慮專案主導者「專業傾向」的不同為出發點來探討績效的差異。此研究上的缺口與『國內產業界特別重視經理人的專業特長.且普遍地以『人治』為執行管理功能的基礎之現實狀況,似乎不太相符。因此,對於「產品開發專案主導者專業傾向」之研究,除了能夠補充新產品發展相關知識體系的完整性之外,對於實務界新產品開發事務的運作,應具有相當高的參考價值。 此外,新產品在工程科技與行銷上特性不同所造成的策略差異,以及採行的專案管理機制,將影響產品發展績效。故本研究乃將此兩個重要變項納入研究範圈,以進一步地探討「產品開發策略」「專案主導者專業傾向」、「專案管理機制」與「新產品發展績效」之間的相互關係和配適性o 由於本研究之部分研究變項屬於探索性研究,故本研究採取兩階段的研究設計。第一階段為先期的個案訪談,第三階段則為問卷調查部份。經由相關文獻探討、實務現象印誼與問卷的統計分析後,歸納出以下研究結論: 1.新產品發展專案主導者的專業傾向,明顯地可以劃分為「研發導向」、「行銷導向」、「製程導向」等三種類型。 2. 新產品發展專案的產品開發策略與選用主導者專業傾向之間,整體而言具有顯著的差異。並且,在此兩者配合得當的關係之下,將能夠得到較佳的新產品發展績效。 3. 新產品發展專案的產品開發策略與專案管理機制之間,整體而言具有顯著的配適性。並且,在此兩者配合得當的關係之下,部分狀況將能夠得到較佳的新產品發展績效。 |
英文摘要 | ln the recent years, resulting from higher technology, shorter product life cyc1e, and harder market competition, the most of hi-tech industry firms are eager to input more and more energy and resources into new product development We surveyed the relative literatures of new product development fie1d, we observe that most of researchers are constructed on the foundation of aspects of technology, organization, human resource, product development strategy or interface of the mutual interaction. Especially, in the issue of project leader how to affect the success of teamwork, we found that most studies focused on the leadership or personal characteristics, but few of studies considered how to select project leader by new product deve10pment strategy. Therefore, recent literature is hard to explain why Taiwan industries are successful in the new product development area. This paper focus on how to select the right project leader would get more value on not only the robustness of product development knowledge system but also in the real operation. Beside the above, the strategy difference of new product development resulting from the characteristics of engineering technologies and marketing, and project management mechanism would have huge and critical inf1uence to the product deve10pment performance. The study explores the relationships among professional inc1ination of project leader, product development strategy, project management mechanism, and product development performance. Due to some uncertain factors in the exploration of the research, two stages should be used. The first is the prearranged case interviews, the second is the questionnaires survey. Through study of reference papers, real industry cases, and statistical analysis of the questionnaires, research summaries are conc1uded as: 1. The professional inc1ination of new product development project leaders can be classified as R&D-oriented, marketing-oriented and process oriented. 2. Generally, !t'sgood to couple the types of professional inclination and the new product development strategy. Under some circumstances, maintaining their proper match may get better performance and efficiency. 3. For the same reason, !t'salso good to match the product development strategy and the project management mechanism. And keeping proper match may get better performance and efficiency. |
