英文摘要 | In this study, the mechanical alloying behaviors of TiSi2, Ti5Si3, and TiSi compositions were investigated. The influence of high vacuum thermal annealing on the structure of milled powders was examined with particular emphasis on the purity and crystallinality of the phase formed. Among the three compositions investigated, the rate of amorphization is Ti5Si3>TiSi> TiSi2. Well-crystallized TiSi2 and Ti5Si3 powders can be produced from the milled powders followed by vacuum annealing treatment at 1300℃. The same route cannot be applied to TiSi composition. Estimations of free enthalpies and diffusitivty data in Ti-Si system indicate that amorphous phases are favored in this system by MA. This is in agreement with our experimental results. |
