英文摘要 | Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) has been designated as the switching, transmission, and multiplexing environment for the future Broadband Integrated Services Digital Networks (BISDN) and services. ATM can offer a variety of services with bit rates ranging from several kb/s (e.g. telephony services) to hundreds of Mb/s (e.g.HDTV), and in some cases approaching Gb/s (e.g. in interconnections of high-speed LANs). This broadband exchange-virtual channel switch system (BEX-VCS) is designed for the sake of fulfilling the ATM protocols in the system. The BEX-VCS can offer Switched Virtual Connections (SVCs) and Permanent Virtual Connections (PVCs) services. The connection types can be Virtual Path connections (VPCs) or Virtual Channel Connections (VCCs). The BEX-VCS will provide the point-to-point connection and point-to-multipoint connections. In this paper, we will describe the detail of the BEX-VCS. |
