中文摘要 | 臺灣地區地處亞熱帶,且海拔高度變化大,涵蓋了各式植群型,是以未來氣候變 遷,必對臺灣地區森林生態系造成相當程度之衝擊。本研究之目的為將經由第五代中尺度數 值氣候模式( MM5 )預測之氣象資料, 利用三個氣候預測情景將該氣候模式模擬出之一倍 及兩倍二氧化碳濃度下,阿里山測站之氣象資料,轉換為其他高山測站之氣象資料。再藉由 Holdridge 生物區帶模式( Holdridge Life Zone Model )針對臺灣中部高山( 1.700m 以上)植群進行模擬,評估氣候變遷可能造成之衝擊。所得之結果顯示,臺灣中部高山植群 ,在所設定之氣候變遷條件下,植物群系型可能變為較溫暖之形式。目前臺灣評估氣候變遷 對森林生態系之衝擊, 主依賴 Holdridge 生物區帶模式,但本研究認為該模式對於臺灣高 海拔山區,可能不適用。 |
英文摘要 | Though situated in a subtropical region, due to the existence of mountain ranges, Taiwan has temperate-like vegetation types at high elevation areas. It is suspected that Taiwan's montane vegetation types are the most vulnerable ones under climate change. The objectives of this study were to compare the vegetation formations of Taiwan's montane regions under 1 × CO �� and 2 × CO �� conditions based on Holdridge Life Zone model. The mountain regions of central Taiwan were selected as the study areas. Temperature data under 1 × CO �� and 2 × CO �� conditions were derived from a meso-scale climatic model calibrated for Taiwan. The data were then projected to high elevation areas based on three projection scenarios, and detail monthly temperature data were then generated based on the estimated monthly trends of three weather stations. The projected data were then applied to Holdridge Life Zone model to determine the vegetation formations under 1 × CO �� and 2 × CO ��. It was assumed in the study that precipitation did not change from 1 × CO �� to 2 × CO ��. This study found that, based on the projected temperature scenarios, the main effect of climate change on the vegetation of the study areas would be to increase the relative abundance of warmer vegetation formations. The study also suggested the Holdridge Life Zone might be inadequate for assessing the effects of climate change on Taiwan's montane vegetation formations. Models that are adequate for the purpose should explicity take the "low temperature, high precipitation" characteristics of Taiwan's montane regions into consideration. |
