英文摘要 | Before the end of the 20th century, and advanced telecommunication system, Global Mobile Personal Communications by Satellite (GMPCS), operating from a constellation of satellites offers a unique technical solution on the limitations of existing terrestrial telecommunication networks. GMPCS networks will provide both basic and enhanced services to all regions of the earth, thus offering the potential for ture universal service. However, the hard reality of GMPCS services today is that the world currently consists of different sophisticated terrestrial telecommunication network infrastructure. In order to deploy and provide this service appropriately, the interconnection between GMPCS system and the terrestrial telecommunication networks is the main issue. This paper will describe the call processing of GMPCS system and analyze technically the interface between GMPCS system and the terrestrial telecommunication networks, including numbering plan, signaling, the system elements and network interfaces. |
