中文摘要 | 近年來隨著臺灣在高科技產業的長足進步,帶動國外學人回流,所造成的影響之一便是海外回國學生的教育問題。本研究主要目的即在探討這些學生回國後的學習適應狀況。 研究者選取11名海外回國學生進行訪談,以了解學童在學習方法、學習習慣、學習態度、學習環境、與身心適應等方面的適應。 研究的主要發現包括: 一、學習方法:海外回國學童認為國語較難,英文較簡單。但來自非英語系國家的學童在英文的使用上仍有困難,在以美國文化為主導的教育環境中,其他文化淪為非主流。教師在教學方法上,一方面採取美式、尊重個人發展,另一方面仍強調傳統式的反覆練習的重要性。 二、學習習慣:學童表示他們在上課時專心聽講。學童學習習慣的養成則有意見的差異:教師上課時雖採取美式教學方法,但對上課秩序的要求仍保留傳統方式。 三、學習態度較不受文化差異的影響。多數學童表示他們喜歡老師和學校,它們也勇於發表意見。 四、學習環境:學童喜歡學校的環境,但學童理解老師的管教方式與過去經驗不同。部份學童課後接受安親班的安置,但是安親班卻給學童非愉快的經驗。此差異性展現了東西方在教育價值觀的不同。 五、身心適應:學童就讀臺灣的小學後比較能感受考試的壓力。高教育程度、高收入的家長對子女學業表現的要求也相對較高。 |
英文摘要 | Technology has long-term development in Taiwan. One of the effects it causes is that many working opportunities appears and lots of Taiwanese coming back for work. This brings the issue of the education of their children. Hence this paper is looking at the learning adaptation of these overseas students. The researcher interviewed 11 pupils at the bilingual department of a primary school in Tainan. The findings of the research include: 1. Learning methods: the overseas children thought Chinese is difficult; while English is easy. However, some pupils coming from non-English speaking counties appeared to have more difficulties in learning. 2. Learning habitat: pupils said they paid lots of attention in class. But teachers and parents had different opinions on nurturing overseas students' learning habitat. 3. Learning attitude: most pupils said they liked their teachers and the school. They also liked to express their opinions in class. 4. Learning environment: pupils said they liked schools. Some pupils went to private tutoring class after school. The unhappy experiences in the tutoring class caused cultural conflict. 5. Learning stress: pupils received more learning pressure in Taiwanese primary schools. Parents who have higher education degree and more income had many requests to their children in learning. |
