中文摘要 | 工業設計師的工作性質與其他部門如製造和行銷的不同,而且目前工業設計師之績效評價方式並未有深入之探討,業界也多以評估其他部門之方式取而代之,因此,是否須要一套適合工業設計師的績效管理制度,是值得探討的。本研究採用深入訪談法,以事先準備的相關問題進行訪談,訪談對象為設計公司之最高經營者和企業內之設計部門主管,了解這些公司或部門對設計師績效評估之做法,以及對現有做法之意見。研究結果以績效評估的時機、績效評估的重點、是否使用工作紀錄表、評估表格的用情形、績效評估的評估者和績效評估回饋方式等六個項目分析討論。本論文也建議建立一套以設計師工作性質為基礎之評估標準,平時觀察為主要依據之設計師專用評估制度。 |
英文摘要 | The jobs of industrial designers are quite different from those in other departments, such as manufacturing and marketing. Performance appraisal for industrial designers has not been seriously discussed so far. An industrial designer’s performance is often evaluated by the same methods as for other departments in the business world. Therefore, whether to have a management system appropriate to evaluate industrial designers is deserving of exploration. This research was conducted by a series of in-depth interviews with the top managers of design consultant firms and the design managers of design departments in manufacturing companies in order to understand their performance appraisal policies and their opinions of existing policies. The findings from the research include timing for performance appraisal, criteria for performance appraisal, work-recording forms, forms for conducting the performance appraisal of an industrial designer, persons to evaluate the industrial designer and the way to handle appraisal results. The study also suggests establishing an industrial designer’s appraisal system based on industrial designers’ work characteristics and daily observation. |
