英文摘要 | SummaryThe complete Chinese title of the Hua-yen Sutra is Ta fang-kuangfo hua-yen ching. In Tibetan, the text is called "Sans rgyas phal po che"shes bya ha shin tu rgyas pa chen pohi mdo, and the Sanskrit title isgiven as Buddha-avatamsaka-Mahāvaipulya-sūtra. It is, however, doubt-ful whether these three titles go back to one and the same source. Dr. Kawata felt there were two different Sanskrit titles, transmitted throughChinese and Tibetan sources respectively, and he as will as Dr. Wogihara, Dr. Klmura others devoted painstaking research to thisproblem. The present paper does not repeat what has been said by these scholars but offers an interpretation of the Chinese sutra title which dif-fers in its approach. |
