英文摘要 | Analytical solutions are developed with the effects of unequal top and bottom surface convection coefficients in a two-dimensional composite rectangular fin, and when the primary surface of the fin is subjected to a step change in temperature while the another end is insulated. The effects of unequal surface convection coefficients on the heat transfer rate at the fin base are examined. The composite fin efficiency is also resented by using the ratio of the actual heat transfer through the fin to that which be obtained if entire fin area were at base temperature. Finally, the results of 2-D composite-material fin solutions are compared with those of single-material fin by using the relative error of heat transfer rate per unit depth at the fin base. |
