中文摘要 | This study contains results of an experiment of a full-scale thermal oxidizer to evaluate the destruction efficiency of a chemical warfare agent surrogate, dimethyl methy lphosphonate (DMMP). DMMP destruction removal efficiencies were calculated as 99.985% and 99.999% at temperatures of 1600℉ and 180℉, respectively. Results from continuous emission monitoring devices indicated that carbon monoxide (CO) emissions were 8.9-11.2 ppmv and 0.3-0.5 ppmv at 160℉ and 180℉, respectively. However, mitric oxide (NO) was below detection limits in both cases. Furthermore, no unexpected by-product of the combustion process was observed. The thermal oxidizer shows promise as an alternative air-pollution control technology for DMMP and similar compounds under the conditions of the tests. |
英文摘要 | 本研究以實廠規模之熱氧化反應裝置 (thermal oxidizer) 評估其破 壞去除二甲 基次磷酸甲 酯 (dimethyl methylphosphonate, DMMP) 之效率。研究結果顯示當系統在 1600 ℉ 及 1800℉ 之操作條件下,目標污染物 DMMP 之破壞去除率分別達 99.985% 及 99.999%。 在同一系統 操作條件下,由連續監測設備所偵測到之一氧化碳之濃度介於8.9-11.2ppmv (1600℉時)及 0.3-0.5 ppmv (1800℉ 時)之間;而一氧化氮之濃度皆低於儀器之偵測極限。除 上述微量一 氧化碳之污染物產生外,並無其他燃燒不完全之副產品產生。由此可見,熱氧化 法極適合應 用於DMMP 之有害空氧污染物控制。 |
