中文摘要 | 行動性通訊最近已發現許多應用。而最常被應用的技術即為展頻通信技術。本篇 論文探討的即為以直序列展頻為基礎的分碼多工網路。分碼多工網路通常比傳統有更高之錯 誤率。在過去錯誤控制已出現大量研究。由於觀察到分碼多工網路的臨界效應,本篇論文提 出並分析一握手式協定以供該類網路應用。經由握手,傳送端可使用一非常短的封包測試以 了解通道品質,接收器狀態,及先行同步。因此每個工作站得以自制以免網路超載。而由於 分碼多工網路傳送重疊的信號數目是動態變化其錯誤率也是跟著時變的。本篇論文研究出一 個可算到位元間錯誤變化的卜瓦松錯誤發生模型及馬可夫鏈來評估錯誤率。數值分析結果顯 示,一旦握手時間夠短(通常如此),握手協定可配合一簡單的前進式錯誤控制來大大改進 網路的吞吐率及可靠度。 |
英文摘要 | Mobile communications have fruitfully appeared in many applications. The most often used techniques are the spread spectrum (SS) technologies. This paper considers the advanced code divison multiple access (CDMA) network that is based on the direct sequence (DS) type SS technology. The spread spectrum networks usually suffer highet error rates than traditional wired networks. The error control schemes using forward error correction schemes and hybrid-ARQ schemes have been extensively studied during past years. Observing the threshold effect of CDMA systems, this paper uses a simple, distributed control protocol, called the handshake protocol, suitable for such application. Through the handshake procedure, the intended transmitter is able to test the channel quality, the receiver's wake-up status, and preamble synchronization by using the very short handshake packet. Therefore, each unit is self-restrained to avoid overload situation. Due to the fact that the number of overlapped transmissions in CDMA networks may change dynamically, the error rate is also time-varying. This paper develops an accurate markov chain model that can account for the bit-to-bit changeable error rates by using a Poisson error occurring model. Numerical results show that once the handshake time is kept reasonably short, the handshake protocol can work with a simple forward error correction scheme to improve both the throughput and reliability performance. |
