中文摘要 | 此研究的目的在於檢驗多媒體電腦於英語會話課中作為一種教學工具的功效以及 學生對互動多媒體學習環境的認知與態度。此研究的範圍包括:聽力與口語的學習效能,學 生的學習動機、信心與焦慮,在多媒體教室內的互動情形,教師的角色,學生對多媒體學習 環境的態度及對電腦教學的期望。 本研究對象為景文科技學院國貿科兩個班級 101 位一年 級的學生。A 班為控制組,B 班為實驗組,A 班採傳統式的語言教室教學方式,B 班採半學 期語言教室學習半學期在多媒體電腦教室學習。本研究為敘述性的研究方式,必須研究者採 用不同的方法。數據法的資料收集用以獲得學生聽力及口語能力。敘述法的資料允許研究者 焦注於學生的態度,電腦以及教師,學生的互動情形。實驗研究的結果發現實驗組與控制組 的聽力以及口語能力沒有顯著性不同的進步。雖然數據資料顯示兩組的進步相同,但敘述性 資料有不同的認知。大多數實驗組學生認為多媒體教室學習環境使她們的聽力與口語能力較 傳統的語言教室更為進步。學生們共同的信念是多媒體的語言教學使得英語學習更為生動、 活潑,學生們喜愛多變化的教學風格及輕鬆的學語環境。並且期望語言教室能有多媒體電腦 及軟體的設備。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of the use of interactive multimedia (IMM) for teaching and learning in an English Conversation classroom. It also examines the students' attitudes and perspectives toward the IMM teaching/learning environment. The subjects of this study were 101 first-year students of international Trade Department at Jin-Wen Institute of Technology. The first part of the research took place in two different classes: A and B, 49 students in Class A and 52 students in Class B. Class A was the control group learning in the traditional language lab and Class B was the experimental group. The second part of this study focused on the students of the experimental group, Class B, learning in both the traditional language lab and the IMM classroom. The results of quantitative data showed that there were no different improvements in listening comprehension and oral proficiency between the two groups during the semester. However, the qualitative data showed that most students favored learning in the classroom IMM environment more than learning in the traditional language lab. In addition, the students expected an ideal language lab where should install three instructional components: audio, video, computer, and maintain a software collection of video and computer program currently available. |
