英文摘要 | In this paper, we analyze the reconfiguration and reliability for the fault-tolerant hypercube architecture proposed in [16]. An n-dimensional fault-tolerant hypercube consists of N(=2n) active nodes (processors) and k spare nodes. The N+k nodes are connected by links in a ring structure to form the interconnection of dimension 0 of the hypercubes. A switching network is used to implement interconnection along distinct dimension. Thus, ,the system requires n-1 switching networks and a ring structure. In this scheme, the k spare nodes, are evenly distributed over the N active nodes, can be used to back up any k failed nodes in the system. Consequently, the result shows that the proposed scheme can achieve the following advantages: (1) optimal spare utilization in terms of the number of node failures; (2) providing a fast reconfiguration process; (3) tolerating link and switch failures; (4) achieving a higher level of reliability with less extra hardware in comparison with previously proposed schemes. |
