英文摘要 | Tube hydroforming offers a way to cut material and manufacturing costs while improving product performance in a variety application. Hydroform tubes are complex-shaped tubular parts that replace multiple pieces box-shaped stamped assemblies in automotive body and frame structures. This paper introduce the forming capability improvements that have been developed using pressure stages, or a pressure sequence, to improve metal flow in the forming dies. With the advancements in computer controls and high pressure hydraulic systems, this process has become a viable method for mass production, especially with the use of internal pressures of up to 6000 bar. |
