英文摘要 | Ceramics and their composites can be used to augment or replace various parts of the body, particularly bones. In contrast to other implant materials, ceramicsthere are characterized by bioinertness or biocompatiblity. Certain ceramics exhibit bioactivity in vivo, capable of promoting faster bone regeneration and direct bonding to regenerated bone without intermediate connective tissue. Bioceramics have recently been developed and used to repair and reconstruct diseased or damaged parts of the musculo-skeletal system. This article reviews the history, classification, fabrication processes and clinical application of bioceramics. The fissue response and biocompatibility of bioceramic in vivo are also described. |
