英文摘要 | A genuine breathable fabric should possess both features of moisture absorbtion and quick drying. Untreated fabrics, natural or synthetic, generally do not have a good balance of these two features. Our proprietary surface treatment technology, however, may contribute to polyester fiber by imparting good moisture absorption and fast drying to the fabric. A variety of breathable fabrics are commercially available, including fabrics composed of odd cross-section fiber, microporous hollow fiber, multilayer yarns, and multilayer structure. Some fabrics are treated with hydrophilic coating or modification chemicals. This article addresses the working principles of moisture absorption and drying. The current status of related technological developments at Union Chemical Laboratories is also reviewed. |
