英文摘要 | Computers are becoming widespread used in data acquistions. For biomedical applications several features of an analog-to-digital (A/D) converter card are important. Firstly, simultaneous sampling among the input channels is necessary. Secondly, high-order anti-aliasing filters should be used before digitization. Thirdly, considering the signal itself could be bipolar or unipolar, spontaneous or evoked, the A/D card should be able to accommodate itself for these conditions. Finally, the A/D card should not be expensive because it is quite common for a alboratory to own several cards each for a specific experiment. To meet these requirements a low-cost yet high performance A/D card is proposed. Many important functions of this card are achieved by hardware circuits. Therefore, even a high-level language programming could attain the goal of high efficiency. For great flexibility, features such as amplifers, anti-aliasing filters, level shifter, pacing timer, and triggering modes and polarities are built in. Moreover, despite these functions are implemented with hardware circuits they are software programmable. To examine this card practically, blood pressure and compound action potential were digitized and compared with the sampling of an oscilloscope. the results suggest that this card is useful. To facilitate the applications of this card detailed information is described and an introduction to aliasing errors is given in the appendix for tutorial purpose. |
