英文摘要 | This study attempts to evaluate the effectiveness of listening strategies embedded in multimedia CALL courseware and examine whether students' strategy learning transfers to new materials. Six videos adapted from CD-ROM are used as demonstration to train the limited FL listeners cognitive and metacognitive strategies embedded in each pre-viewing, while-viewing and post-viewing tasks of the courseware. Another six new videos served as test material. The experimental group with strategy training and autonomous learning at computer outperformed the control group without instructor's strategy training on comprehension and sentence-level translation tests. |
