中文摘要 | 本研究對詹姆斯之激進經驗論加以探討,並由此推論其對教育的觀點,俾以提供教育工作者實質上的建議。詹姆斯著力批判絕對觀念論,並並發展以激進經驗論為中心的哲學理念。本研究之主要發現有:詹姆斯的激進經驗論包含一個基設、一個事實的陳述和一個推廣的結論;提倡「有用即是真理」的真理論;以一個觀念所產生的實際效果來界定觀念的意義;並且澄清道德及宗教的本質。主張教育的重要功能在儲存學生的「額外真理」,培養學生的興趣,並且注重學生良好習慣的養成。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of this study is probing into James' "Radical Empiricism", and inferring its implications to someone who works in the field of education. James criticizes the Absolute Idealism intensively and develops the Radical Empiricism as the center of his philosophic theory. Some indications could be found in this study: James' Radical Empiricism includes one postulate, a statement of fact and a generalized to identify the meaning of perception from its actual effectiveness generated. Furthermore, he tries to clarify the nature of both religion and ethics. James suggests that the main function of education depends on how much the Extra Truth of students being accumulated, the development of their interests and good habit. |
