中文摘要 | 閱讀是知識的吸收而閱讀是一種創作;事實上閱讀與寫作有如硬幣之兩面,彼此間有密切關聯;連結閱讀與寫作是有效之語言學習策略。本論文研究國內學生如何同時應用閱讀與寫作於英文學習。研究對象為47位五專部二年級的學生,於暑假期間閱讀修女特蕾沙傳、卓別林傳或馬丁路德傳,然後寫回應報告。研究結果供英文閱讀與寫作教學與學習參考。 |
英文摘要 | It has long been recognized that reading is an activity of knowledge reception and writing is an activity of production. Actually, reading and writing have close connections with each other just like the two sides of a coin. To make good use of reading and writing drills might turn them into powerful learning strategies. This study is designed to explore how Chinese EFL students can have their reading and writing practice simultaneously and the effects on their foreign language learning. The subjects were 47 second-year students in the 5-year junior college program in Taiwan. They were asked to choose a book from among Mother Teresa, Charlie Chaplin, and Martin Luther King, and then write a reflection paper upon their reading. The task period lasted for one summer vacation. The study results offer valuable references for EFL reading and writing instruction and learning. |
