英文摘要 | The scatterer size is normally estimated by employing the spectral-peaks-spacing method. However, this method is restricted by the assumptions of regularity in tissue structure and by the requirement of the long signal duration in analysis. In this work, we propose an improved method to overcome these limitations. Porcine liver was used as ultrasound scattering source. Short-time data (30.3 micro-second or 23 mm) were analyzed by autoregressive (AR) model with a 1.25 microsecond time window; the central frequency was then calculated. The central frequency varies in space. Grain components are distinguishable from the variation phenomenon, and the distance corresponding to the period of upward/downward shift is close to the scatterer size. The proposed method is a high-resolution algorithm (both in spatial domain and in frequency domain). It provides an alternative approach estimating the scatterer size. |
