英文摘要 | The pelagic shrimps (mainly Sergia lucens and Pasiphaea japonica)in the deep scattering layer (DSL) were surveyed by 120 and 38 kHz echo sounders and 14 trawl samplings, in the l-Lan Bay of northeastern Taiwan, June 16 ∼ 18 and August 7 ∼ 9, 1998. The two-frequency algorithm with a highpass fluid sphere scattering model was used to measure the equivalent spherical radius (a)and the target strength (TS).For the pelagic shrimps, lengths (L)in the range of 17.8 to 46.9mm, and the a values in the range of 2.9 to 8.7 mm were linearly related (a=0.171L+0.688, r=0.83,df=11, p<0.05). The TS at 120 and 38 kHz ranged between -82.2 and -72.2 dB and between -93.5 and -73.0 dB, respectively, and the TS and L relationships were TS=19.187 LogL-104.34(r=0.79, df=11,p<0.05) at 120 kHz, and TS=37.704LogL-135.51(r=0.76, df=11,p<0.05)at 38 kHz. |
